Months of preparation, dismantling their allotment and their apartment, canceling insurance policies, taxes, and contracts that were no longer needed, and preparing and approving the flight for their two dogs, Dobby and Percy....
as well as a total of three four-week stays in Peru to complete the concrete steps, notarized and registered purchase of the property, opening and registration of their Peruvian company "SAMINCHAY Resort km 82".
In April, the migration application process began, as did the first construction work on their property, ... which was completed.
On Monday, July 21, the time has come: The truck for the container shipment has arrived from Hamburg and is ready for loading...
On July 23, two days after a truck picked up their moving goods for the container shipment, Gudrun, a very friendly neighbor, brought Heide and her two dogs to the Airbnb apartment near Amsterdam Airport. Upon arrival, they enjoyed the North Sea beach one last time with all the dogs before heading back to the Airbnb apartment for a quick nap.
Early in the morning of July 24th, a short walk through the small town and then into the booked taxi to Amsterdam Airport.
Finally, the long-awaited moment has arrived: She and her dogs begin their journey at the airport into her new world, into her new being.
Departure with a two-hour delay, pleasant flight with a flight time of 12 hours, arrival at LIMA airport early Thursday evening, beginning of the challenging delays of the connecting flight to Cusco by the Lima airport staff.
After arriving in Lima, it takes two hours for Heide to finally get her two dogs. A total of another six hours of waiting until 2 a.m. with her dogs in line for a new flight, ...an overnight stay in a hotel in the middle of the night, and a taxi ride to the Hotel Larco Miraflores, which also accepts dogs. Heide already stayed there in 2022 after a flight cancellation and immediately felt very comfortable.
She and her dogs enjoy being close to Mama Pacifica, all of them quickly recovering from the inconveniences at Lima Airport
Subsequently, the dog's transport box was criticized by airport staff a total of three times, each time with new, sometimes seemingly arbitrary, complaints. Each time, the process started from scratch with a laborious new check-in review of all paperwork. In total, the onward flight was delayed by two days, resulting in two hotel nights, four taxi rides at $60 each, the purchase of certain accessories for the transport box, the surrender of the dog's own mat, which smelled like home, and ultimately the purchase of an entirely new transport box. These conditions, communicated little by little and thus seemingly arbitrary, would most likely have led to despair and feelings of "victimization" if the situation had been viewed and perceived in 3D alone.
Heide has learned to view every situation positively and forgives the staff for their seemingly arbitrary imposition of new conditions and their unstructured, sometimes chaotic, way of working. She recognizes that she can only move forward with the staff, not against them, even if her initial feelings are toward the opposite.
It's a new moon in Leo, exactly at the degree of Heide's IC in her natal chart, with opposition to Pluto. This special constellation makes the conditions so extremely challenging. In this context, the airport staff are "only" fulfilling the energetic task. Heide is obviously "allowed" to grow for new challenges by coping with this situation...
Dobby & Percy handle the situation at Lima Airport surprisingly well. Not only do they leave their carriers at Lima Airport after a total of 16 hours with indescribable ease and immediately want to explore the airport with great joy, they also endure the hours-long wait in line for a new connecting flight with indescribable patience, never being able to leave the airport once. Playing with other dogs in the Miraflores facility, they are allowed to be their true dogs and recharge their batteries for further challenges. Their behavior shows that everything is in harmony with their energies. You can't fool dogs.
Saturday evening: Arrival at the airport in Cusco. The energy here is completely different. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the dogs.
The journey continues in a taxi belonging to Juan Carlos, with whom Heide has been friends since 2022.
First day in Airbnb apartment in Ollantaytambo:
First walk outside the "front door" of the Airbnb apartment: With great confidence and a sense of adventure, Dobby & Percy take their first walk outside the front door of their Airbnb apartment. They encounter many dogs, and their interaction is friendly, which isn't always the case in Peru, as dogs are usually kept to protect the home and are therefore not always friendly.
Some dogs continue part of the way with Dobby & Percy.

More impressions from the first walk:
Overall, the journey together with Dobby & Percy - despite the challenges at Lima airport - as well as the arrival in Ollantaytambo was much easier than previously thought.
Dobby & Percy cope surprisingly well with the long flight, having obviously left all unpleasantness where it occurred and not carrying it into the new situations.
They live fully in the "here and now" and confirm with their happy and carefree actions that they feel safe and AT HOME.
